Unified Communications, get Savi
May 25, 2009 by llauretiHow Bluetooth got its name…
May 25, 2009 by llauretiA tenth-century Viking, King Harald Bluetooth, reigned from 940 to 985. He was credited for unifying various warring groups of farmers in Denmark. Because Bluetooth technology lets you communicate with 8 different types of devices, it is aptly named. Your Bluetooth headset lets you talk on your computer, your cell phone , office phone, etc. Did you know the Plantronics Voyager 510 System will share communications with BOTH your cell phone and your work phone simultaneously? Plantronics has created “multipoint” technology that lets you switch seamlessly from your cellphone call to your office phone call with a touch of a button. Pretty nifty! Headset for your Cordless Home Phone
May 25, 2009 by llauretiIf you’re like many people, you have a cordless phone at home. And, if you have a home office, or work outside in your garden, a WIRELESS headset will un-kink your neck and let you answer calls up to 300 feet from the phone. Check out the CS55H (Home Edition). It looks alot like the office wireless CS55, except it’s been optimized for your cordless phone technology and there’s no “lifter” involved. I love mine.
Headset Law for Drivers
May 25, 2009 by llauretiNo headset law for Colorado yet. In fact, the proposed law was postponed indefinitely on April 4, 2009.
Basically, it would have prohibited use of a hand-held phone while driving. Enforceable as a secondary offense. Proponents say that talking or texting while driving is like driving drunk and were fighting to have all communications devices restricted from kids 18 and under, like the California headset law. Common sense everyone- keep both hands on the wheel while you’re driving, use a headset, and pull over to a safe place if you want to text!
